We Can't Help But Show Our Duck Pride!

We have not updated for a while, and there has been so much going on. First of all we had a fabulous Memorial Day camp out with the whole family, all of the Gorgeous Georges were out in full force, it was great! We also have made a trip to Bandon, and stayed at Bullard's Beach. The weather was perfect, and there was lots of fishing, and bike riding. And to top off a great start our trailering season, the Queen Bee made a quick trip to football camp in Gold Beach. So far this year the trailers have been thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The shack is coming along great. The floor has been laid, the walls painted, and the custom made cabinets by Rocketman Ricky are almost done. It is really coming along, and good thing to because Tish is counting down the days until she is the proud owner of Blue Lagoon. She is pushing fore full custody by the girl's trip, it may happen, you never know.

Anyhow, how about those ducks? We always knew that Summer was a fan, but she has taken it to a whole new level that only the Queen Bee can rival. Who knew that she would match her paint to her Oregon shirt. All I can say is way to show the pride!!!

And a final note on the girl's trip. Jared is still refusing to go, he thinks that hanging out with your mom and aunts when you are 17 is lame. I thought we were a bunch of hip chicks, but I have been set strait, we are not so cool. Sorry about that girls.

Let There Be A Door.

We know that in every post of trailer progress we keep saying it is getting close, and you are all going "No it's not, this is taking forever". Well, you are right, but for us devoted trailer lovers out there, each step closer to finished makes it almost there. So in the spirit of almost doneness, here is the progress on The Shack. It has a door, and a screen!!!! Can you just believe that, I can't! It also has some walls, and is making huge strides towards paint and other fun stuff. Can't wait.

Seeing Stars

After almost 2 long years the stars have made an apperance on Old Glory! They really look so great, and add so much to the trailer. We are so exicted to see all the bright color. Great job Tome!

The Best Part

I was just out with Summer in the Shack helping her hang her first wall up. I told her that I always found this part of the rebuilds to be the best part because it was so satisfying to see the progress. After the walls go in then it just gets plane old fun from there. We are all so excited for Summer (especially Tish who is anxiously waiting to have her own little home away from home). Can't wait to see it with walls soon!!!

Bombs and laundry!

OK ladies, it's that time to pull out all the linens and throw in the bug bombs! Monica and I have been itching to take our trailers out, so we are going to give you all some places that we are going to be going and you should all join us, but for now we all need to do the spring cleaning that it requires to get ready. I am thinking that this Saturday I will traipse over to Mom and Dad's and start stripping the beds and wiping down counters. It's so fun to get back into the camper after winter and remember all the fun things that are in there and how much we enjoy going places and spending time with everyone! Last year I even got Gordon to sleep in the trailer on two separate trips! That is such an accomplishment!! He did secretly divulge that not having to set up a tent in the rain and wake up in the middle of the night soaking wet, because the water is traveling under the tent, was worth sleeping in the trailer. Aah, the sense of being right overwelhms me.
Any who, we have the trip for Memorial weekend set up and I think everyone will be there, Hooray, even Charlie, Misty and Family will be joining us! We'll keep you all posted on other trips...any suggestions of places is welcome! We are looking for some new places to go and see, so scour your maps and let the ideas begin!
Here are pictures from Bandon from one of last year's last minute trips that Monica and I went on, and Ty and Tori joined us for the day:

We went to the wildlife park and Jude got to pet this black panther. Note to everyone for the next time we go: WEAR RAIN BOOTS! There's a lot of poop, since they let most of the animals just roam the grounds, so you can just hose off the boots when you're done walking around.

Holy Cow!

So, our first show and shine with the Gorgeous Georges fleet was a huge success. Everyone loved the trailers, and even some neighbors came down to check it out. Good job girls, they were a hit. The Queen Bee is seriously in the home stretch, and another week, it will be all the way done. Yay! Now for the big news, drum roll please... all the tin made it back on the Shack. It went back together, WOW. We are most impressed with Rocketman Ricky's skills. Great job!

"Labor " Day Weekend

All I can say is WOW! Ricky is the man!!! The tin is being put back on The Shack, and the new frame work is amazing. Both of the side walls are back in place, and soon the top will be on. Congrats to the Olivers, you are making huge progress. And now for the Queen Bee. it has a counter top, and curtains. We are making some progress. This next Saturday we would love to have all the Gorgeous Georges on display at the church for the show and shine. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Weekend Warriors

So, another Saturday has come and gone, and more trailer work has been done. The Shack is close to having a wall frame put back up. Ricky almost done replacing the rotten wood on one of the side walls, and soon it will be ready to be attached to the trailer frame, and with a little faith, and a lot of luck when all the frames are back up, hopefully the tin will go back on, correctly. Let's all hope, but for now, it is coming along great. On the finishing end of things, the Queen Bee is coming along nicely. There are just a few random things to paint, and still waiting for the faucet to come in so that the counter top can be finished. The curtains are cut, and will be put together this week. The end is closer than ever. Yes! Soon we will be on the road.

Work Day

This Saturday was a huge work day for the trailers. Both the Queen Bee, and The Shack made huge progress in their construction. the Queen Bee is almost there, with just some finishing work to do. It now has trim around the windows, and is almost ready for curtains, and other such luxuries. I am counting the days. As far as The Shack goes, it now has a sub floor, and is on it's way to being a work of art! Keep up the great work.
